As we announced in the December newsletter TopSolid 2009 is on its way and will be released at the beginning of March this year. Here is a sneak preview of some of what's in store in TopSolid'Design 2009:

| Discover TopSolid'Wood on wood shows in February |
During the month of February you will be able to discover TopSolid'Wood on the following shows in France and in Germany: Eurobois in Lyon, 25-28 February, stand 6F02; Zow in Bad Salzuflen (Germany), 09-12 February, Hall 21, Stand F8.
TopSolid'Wood is an integrated design, manufacturing and management (CAD/CAM/PDM) software specialized for wood processing. It is made up of comprehensive standard components and processes specific to the wood industry. It offers powerful modelling functions, optimised assembly management and facilitated communication with customers and manufacturing.
The 2D and 3D modelling principles of TopSolid'Wood are based on those of TopSolid'Design. The association of these 2 applications offers many powerful wood specific functionalities in addition to the rich modelling core of TopSolid'Design. These trade functions allow the user to create designs while respecting shop floor constraints.
TopSolid'Wood outputs to the CNC plant floor through TopSolid'WoodCam, an integrated CAM solution which automatically produces the ISO code, via a post processor, to manufacture parts on CNC machinery. TopSolid'Wood offers unique and complete simulation of the machine tool which is vital to verify complex 5 axis tool paths. Any modification made during the design stage is automatically recuperated in the machining stage without having to make time-consuming changes (positioning of the part, identification of operations, choice of tools, etc.) The generation of the new ISO codes, following a design modification is, therefore, practically instantaneous.

Missler Software has just launched its new Spanish web site http://www.topsolid.es/ The new site reflects the importance of the Spanish speaking market for Missler Software. TopSolid VARs can today be found in the following Spanish speaking countries: Spain, Argentina, Chile, Columbia, and Mexico.
Visitors can easily discover all there is to know about the TopSolid range of CAD/CAM solutions on offer, customer references, TopSolid resellers, product videos, etc. Market specific information as well as technical information is available in Spanish.

A successful year for Missler Software |
2008 has been a positive year for Missler Software and its VARs despite a downturn in the global economic climate. Company turnover has in fact increased compared to the 2008 figure. This is a very good performance for the CAD/CAM developper who managed to consolidate its growth rate after its exceptional performance over the past 2 years. Following on from the trend of previous years, the company's growth rate was highest in the international market where it seems clear that future growth has the most potential
Rapid progression in market share was experienced in the wood market with TopSolid'Wood and TopSolid'WoodCam. TopSolid'Wood is now sold throughout the world - In the Swedish market TopSolid'Wood has been particularly successful over the past 2 years. Cam mechanical sales remained stable and confirm the dominant position of TopSolid'Cam in the aerospace field. (In France TopSolid'Cam is the number 1 CAM solution used by aerospace subcontractors. Such well known aerospace references as Airbus, Aircelle, Mecachrome, Safran, ... all use TopSolid'Cam).
In order to provide the most advanced technology possible to its customers Missler Software will be launching TopSolid and GOelan 2009 in early March on the international market. Important CAD/CAM improvements are in store in all modules. With modern drawing packages, designers have a lot of tools at their disposal to design complex shapes. But the challenge is also to manufacture these effectively. This imposes a number of conditions relating to the machines, especially regarding control and programming, but also on the designer, because he needs to be able to ascertain what is attainable, and what is not. Video commentary
Following the example of mold makers who use automated functions to rough their molds, TopSolid customers who machine such parts as extrusion screws, impellers and mixers in 4 axis continuous machining can now benefit from automated roughing functions. This new function manages such roughing operations while managing collisions, underdrafts, the cutting conditions, etc. In fact the ease of 3 axis roughing is now possible in 4 axis. |
