TopSolid'Cam 2009 will be available in your local markets from March onwards. Here is some of what's in store in the 2009 version:

TopSolid international seminar |
Missler Software has just recently hosted its 8th international seminar in which its Sales, Development and Marketing teams from around the world came together in Portugal for the company's annual kick-off event. The seminar marked the launch of TopSolid 2009 as well as a whole new look for the TopSolid range of products (new logos, web sites, graphical identity, ... on the way.) A series of presentations, intensive workshops and meetings with the Missler Software Development, Sales and Marketing teams provided a wealth of information to make the upcoming TopSolid 2009 launch a great success.
Over 190 people all working wih TopSolid and GOelan were present at the seminar and had the opportunity to share ideas and experiences. This year saw the presence of new resellers from countries such as Argentina, Mexico and South Africa as well as resellers from such traditional TopSolid strongholds as Germany, Japan, Italy, etc. |

New TopSolid reseller in South Africa |
|
Missler Software is pleased to announce a new TopSolid VAR in South Africa ?Company Solid Solutions is based in Johannesburg and Durban and will also be operating out of Cape Town over the coming months. The company has been working in the CAD/CAM business since 1999 and is very familiar with the automotive, packaging, toy, bulk material handling, consumer goods and aeronautical industries for plastics and press tooling. Solid Solutions decided to start reselling TopSolid as it clearly identified the need for a strong software package to handle big assemblies and be able to update changes throughout the projects in these industries. An integrated CAD/CAM solution will permit important time gains for future South African users. |

| Customer of the month: Formula Group |
The Formula Group employs more than 600 people and produces automobile air condition units under the brand name "Formula". The company also works for automobile sub-contractors and OEMs while its main business remains the supply of parts for the after market.
Using TopSolid'Design, TopSolid'Mold, TopSolid'Electrode, TopSolid'Progress and TopSolid'Cam the company has implemented a fully integrated solution from design right through to manufacturing. "With the TopSolid integrated solution, we've reduced design time and engineering change orders by about 50%." explains the Production Manager of the Formula Group.

Video commentary
The Number set automatically function in TopSolid allows a BOM index to be automatically assigned or in function of the criteria of all elements of a main assembly.
Use: In Tools | Options, define the increment from the beginning of the numbering depending on the type of element. From the main assembly use the Number automatically function depending on the BOM model and depending on your needs choose the depth of the BOM.
