New Missler Software subsidiary in Italy
Missler Software Italy, a subsidiary of Missler Software, has just recently opened a new division in Turin called "Missler Software Nord Ovest." The new branch has 8 employees and covers all of the North-Western region of Italy.
Missler Software Nord Ovest came about following a long partnership between Missler Software Italy and its reseller, company Overcam. The founders and the majority of Overcam's employees are now integrated in the new Missler Software branch. The subsidiary sells all of the TopSolid and GOelan product range but is specialized in the sheetmetal industry.
Missler Software Italy has 400 TopSolid customers and approximately 500 GOelan customers in Italy.

IWF 2008

TopSolid User Meeting in Holland
Bemet, the TopSolid VAR in the Netherlands, recently held its annual user meeting on 22nd May. The meeting was attended by approximately 65 TopSolid customers.
The user meeting is an annual event organised by Bemet to provide information on new releases to its customers and to keep them abreast of all new CAD/CAM developments within Missler Software. According to the TopSolid user Dick Verhulst of Machinefabriek Gebrs. Frencken "I attend the TopSolid user meeting every year for at least two reasons. First, I want to keep informed about new features in TopSolid. Secondly, practice issues are discussed and solutions are offered."
Bemet international is a supplier of CAD/CAM and ERP solutions to production companies like subcontractors, assembly companies, model makers and toolmakers in the metal, plastics and rubber industries. Bemet is based in Veenendaal, in the middle of the Netherlands about 30 kms from Utrecht. The Dutch company employs 40 people and has about 80 TopSolid customers.
Arnaud de Boisboissel, International Sales Director for Missler Software, attended the meeting to reinforce the strong implantation of TopSolid in the Netherlands.

Xylexpo 2008
Missler Software Italy recently participated at the Xylexpo trade fair, the biennial world exhibition for woodworking technology, which took place in Milan, 27-31 May 2008.
Missler Software Italy has equipped many boat designers and manufacturers with TopSolid'Wood, especially in terms of interior design needs. We can name such companies as Picco Yacht Design and Vismara Yacht Design as being TopSolid'Wood customers in Italy.

TopSolid Tip of the month: TopSolid'Wood
You are a TopSolid operator and you would like some tips on what your software is capable of doing. Each newsletter will include a highlight of the month accompanied by an avi of a TopSolid module. This month let's take a look at a new tip for TopSolid'Wood and hatching patterns.
Video commentary Since the launch of TopSolid'Wood 2008 several hatching patterns are now provided with the version such as solid wood (cross cut and rift cut), lumber core, plywood, fiberboard, Mdf...
Users have the possibility of creating and saving their own hatching designs in the configuration. All of these hatchings can be associated with materials (with the "Manage materials" function) which enable increased automation for draft creation. This automation even respects the direction of the grain attributed by the 3D function "define part".
Manual modification of hatchings is possible in the draft document to permit hatching changes or moves as illustrated in the video.
